The synchronised display at #17

For about 10 years now I have been doing a computer controlled Christmas light show, although I only moved to Cherrington a few years ago.

It began simply controlling some fairy lights and rope lights, able to turn 16 items on and off.

Over the years the 16 became 48.  Then the fairy lights became LED’s.

3 years ago the revolution hit and all of a sudden I could control not just on/off, or even colour, but each individual light in the display.

From 48 channels it has grown to now over 10,000.

This year there are 4 new songs (so far, more to come) plus 2 from previous years.  The new additions are:

  • Into the Unknown – Panic at the Disco cover of the Frozen 2 song
  • Jingle Bell Rock
  • Santa Tell Me – Ariana Grande
  • Light Of Christmas – Owl City

Old ones include:

  • Frosty the Snowman – Human Nature
  • You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch – Lindsey Stirling ft. Sabrina Carpenter

Over the coming year I’ll add some information on how the show is put together for those interested with a behind the scenes look.

I hope you enjoy, feel free to check out the videos on the Videos Page
